“If your personal comfort and choices are more important than our parental rights and our parental responsibility, we will not get our freedoms back,” one speaker said.
Fulton County has reported over 3,500 new cases of COVID-19 in the last few weeks.
Saturday’s protest was one of several in metro Atlanta about mask mandates. Gwinnett County parents gathered last weekend to protest that county’s mask mandate.
“There are so many reasons why we shouldn’t be mandating masks for children,” Emily Fields, a mother of five, said at that protest. “It’s not just the masks. It’s the principle behind wearing the mask, honestly.”
