ROSWELL, Ga. — Firefighters never know where the next callout is going to take them or what might be in store, but they are always prepared for just about everything.

Saturday morning, the city of Roswell’s fire department got a call regarding an elderly woman who was trapped in a storm drain.
After arriving just before 9:30 a.m., firefighters went to work. They went into search and rescue mode trying to figure out the best way to get the woman out.
With a little support and assistance from the Sandy Springs Fire Department, they made their way into the drain and safely got her out.

The fire department hasn’t said if they knew how the woman managed to end up inside the drain, but their primary mission was accomplished, they kept her safe.
