ROSWELL, Ga. — A Roswell neighborhood is grieving the loss of two of their own, whom investigators say were murdered in a home on Barrington Landing Court near Old Alabama Road.

The suspect remains on the run.

Roswell police released a photo of Duane Hall, 30, who has been named a person of interest in the case.

The identities of the victims have not yet been released.

People who live in the neighborhood told Channel 2′s Elizabeth Rawlins that they are still shocked by the killings.

“I have no idea why. They were very nice people, very quiet people,” neighbor Kristy Grieco said.

Roswell investigators were called out to the home Monday morning to help an unresponsive adult.

But when they arrived, that’s when they found two people who had been murdered. Detectives at the scene swarmed the neighborhood and blocked the entrance for most of the day looking for clues and any possible leads.

“It was shock. We didn’t know what was going on,” Grieco said.

“The police were everywhere yesterday, which was scary because we didn’t know why,” neighbor Katelyn Greck said.

Late Monday night, Roswell investigators released images of who they believe could be their suspect.

Hall is now wanted as a person of interest in the case. Investigators believe he is driving a dark silver Toyota Camry, allegedly taking it from the scene of the crime.

“He did not live there,” Grieco said.  “Was he over there a lot?” Rawlins asked Grieco.  “Yes,” Grieco said.

Grieco told Rawlins that she recognized Hall but said she hasn’t seen him in a while, unlike the victims.

She said she saw them last week. “It was a few days ago. It was actually last Wednesday. They were just very nice people,” Grieco said.

The motive and circumstances surrounding these murders is still unclear. It’s an unsettling reality for the small neighborhood and tight-knit community.

“It’s definitely unsettling. I’m glad to see that they have a person of interest that they are looking for,” Greck said.

Anyone who has information on Hall’s whereabouts or has more information about this case, is asked to call Roswell Police or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
