Detective's testimony reveals what led them to Hazelwood
According to Roswell police, Hazelwood said he became “curious” when he saw the vehicle going to the back of the Publix store in the early hours of Aug. 1.
Hazelwood allegedly told police he watched them from behind an electrical box, and then got on top of the store and watched them before approaching the SUV, police said.
Police said Hazelwood stole Henderson’s debit card and was captured on video getting gas at a gas station with a mask on.
Officer said he returned to the scene with the mask on and stole Davis’ jumper cables. %

Detective Jennifer Bennett became emotional as she testified during the hearing Friday.
Police said they believe Hazelwood acted alone when he shot the pair that Monday at about 3 a.m. Police said they do not have a motive for the killings.
Police said surveillance video and evidence at the scene, along with cell phone communication and social media, led them to Hazelwood.
He was taken into custody and questioned two days later. He was then arrested, charged and booked into the Roswell Detention Center. From there, he was transferred to the Fulton County Jail.
The court found probable cause on two counts of felony murder, aggravated assault, one count of sexual battery, one count of identity theft, two counts of theft by taking and two counts of possession of firearm during the commission of a felony.

The night Carter, Natalie were killed
According to the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office, Henderson and Davis, both 17, died from a gunshot wound to the head and the manner of death in both cases was homicide.
Detectives said from the evidence they have at this time, they believe the teens were killed in the parking lot where their bodies were found.
