Deputies said the crash happened around 2:30 p.m. Saturday on I-75 between mile markers 173 and 174. They said the driver of a vehicle heading south on the interstate left the road and entered northbound traffic and hit a car driving north.
The driver of the northbound car, Nandi Franklin of Mississippi, was killed in the crash. Witnesses told deputies that a light in color, possibly silver Toyota sedan changed directions on the highway, caused the crash and immediately drove away.
