GSP officials said 67-year-old Jose Luis Estala of Gainesville was driving a 2007 Dodge Caravan south and attempted to turn right.

Troopers said Estala was traveling too fast for the wet road conditions and went off the east shoulder of the roadway.

When the Caravan went off the roadway, authorities said it hit an embankment head-on. It then rotated counterclockwise and stopped on the east shoulder of the road.
