A Coweta County pastor says losing two of his sons in a horrific crash has been tough, but his faith will carry him through the tragedy.

Josh and Kahlil Royston were killed when their car left the road and crashed into trees off Smokey Road around 1 p.m. Sunday.

Josh Royston, 16, was pronounced dead at the scene and Kahlil Royston, 17, died from his injuries after being taken to Atlanta Medical Center. Both were students at Newnan High School.

Pastor Kevin Royston told Channel 2's Tom Jones that he had just watched his sons leave OutReach Church. The brothers were on their way to get haircuts when they crashed.

"It's difficult for me to process as a father," Kevin Royston told Jones. "If God allowed it, he's going to give me strength to go through it."

The pastor said the family has made the decision to donate Kahlil's organs to help save other people's lives.

Georgia State Patrol says Kahlil Royston went around a curve at a high rate of speed when the car left the road, rotated counterclockwise and hit a fire hydrant marker.

The car went airborne and traveled some distance before crashing into the tree.

The pastor told Jones that his sons had so much potential.

"Kahlil was a hard worker. Josh was the one who was going to be the preacher," he said.

Jones went to the crash site on Wednesday afternoon, where a small memorial has been set up.

Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
