PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — Colonial Pipeline, the company that operates the nation’s largest gasoline pipeline, is reporting a possible leak in west Georgia.
A spokesperson for the company shared a statement with Channel 2 Action News confirming they are investigating a “potential gas release on our right of way” in Paulding County.

It’s unclear exactly where the leak occurred.
The company says they have shut down a gas line as crews on scene are “coordinating response efforts.”
There is no word on what caused the leak or when it may be fixed.

In 2021, a cyberattack on the company caused nationwide gas shortages, sending consumers to gas stations in an effort to fill up their tanks.
