PERRY, Ga. — Three people in Houston County were arrested after police say they took them for a wild ride.
According to the Perry Police Department, Edward Hargreaves and Ashley Cebada were arrested in connection to the theft of multiple golf carts from a business on Sam Nunn Boulevard in Perry.
On Dec. 18, police teed off a golf cart pursuit after Hargreaves and Cebada tried to drive away from officers, but their efforts were over par and they were captured.
A search of the stolen cart led police to find methamphetamine and firearms inside. Now, both face charges of theft, property damage, drug possession and firearms violations.

The next day, investigators found and recovered a third stolen golf cart at a home in Warner Robins, leading to the arrest of Kerry Holt.
Holt was charged with theft by receiving stolen property, possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and trafficking methamphetamine.
“This incident highlights the dedication of our officers to ensure public safety and bring offenders to justice. I want to commend the teamwork and swift action demonstrated by our department and our agencies,” Perry Police Chief Alan Everidge said in a statement.
