DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — A vehicle has significant damages after an accident involving an Amtrak train in Douglas County.
Very few details have been released about the crash, but Channel 2 Action News was on the scene at Veterans Memorial Highway in Douglasville Thursday night.

Photos show a white SUV that appears to be smashed in the front.
Channel 2 Action News reached out to Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for details about the incident, but they have not responded.

Amtrack posted on Twitter that there would be delays due to a “vehicle crossing incident.”
According to Amtrak’s Twitter, the train has since returned to service.
Channel 2 Action News also reached out to Amtrak but they have not responded.
There is no word from DCSO on whether the driver of the white SUV was injured.
