DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A 7-year-old is recovering after police say he was shot at his apartment Sunday night.
Channel 2′s Audrey Washington watched as DeKalb County police investigators examined the scene at an apartment complex off Fairington Drive.
DeKalb County police said officers responded to a shooting call around 7:30 p.m. at the apartment. A woman told investigators that two men entered their home and started shooting.
Her 7-year-old son was hit by one of the bullets and taken to a local hospital.

The boy is in stable condition and no other injuries were reported.
Officers are now looking for the two men who left the scene. Investigators told Washington they believe at this time the shooting was not a random act.
