Police arrest suspect in shooting of Macy’s employee at Lenox Square

ATLANTA — A suspect has been arrested in the shooting of a Macy’s employee in a parking deck at Lenox Square.

The shooting happened in the lowest level of the parking garage on Dec. 20.

The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she was alert, conscious and breathing. She has since been released from the hospital.

Atlanta police said 24-year-old D’Vonte Dean was arrested on Dec. 30. He was charged with aggravated assault with intent to rob, armed robbery, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Police are searching for a second suspect.
