Investigators say the shooting happened after an argument that started as the pool was about to close.
Dillard’s aunt, Chrissandra Thomas, told Channel 2 Action News he was not part of the argument.
“We just hear a gunshot,” Thomas said at the time. “Me and my nephew just thought they shot into the air and we see him laying right there. But again, he had nothing to do with it.”

Dillard was a rising senior at Life Christian Academy. His mother said the fact that he could be so active and love life was a miracle because he was born with a heart problem and had nine surgeries in his lifetime.
The violence led the City of Atlanta to temporarily shut down all public pools.
Atlanta Police announced Friday they arrested 19-year-old Fernando Felton for the crime.
Police worked with the fugitive unit and the Secret Service to make the arrest.
