ACWORTH, Ga. — Police say a man has died hours after he shot his wife several times in their Cobb County home.
The Acworth Police Department says 47-year-old James Scott Bland shot his wife three times in the driveway of their home on Archer Place Thursday night. Bland then turned the gun on himself, police say.
Both were taken to the hospital where Bland died overnight. His wife, who has not been identified, remains in intensive care at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
Police say the couple has two children, but were not at home at the time of the incident.
