Cobb County police are investigating after a woman was killed at an extended stay hotel Monday.
Police said they responded to the InTown Suites off Barrett Creek Parkway in Marietta around 11:30 a.m. Jalin Belton, 31, was dead when they arrived.

Investigators said it appears Belton was died of injuries from edged weapon. Police said there was a report two small children were in the room but investigators have confirmed the children were not present.
They have been located safe with relatives out of state.
No other details about the investigation have been released.
