GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett County police are investigating a second homicide in just hours Sunday afternoon.
Police said they are responding to the death of a woman in her early 20s in Dacula on Mountain Ash Court.
Police said the homicide happened in the road sometime around 1:30 p.m. The woman was taken to the hospital, where she died.
A motive has not been determined but police said it appears to be domestic in nature.
We have a photographer headed to the scene to gather more information, for Channel 2 Action News at 6 p.m.
Earlier Sunday, police responded to reports of a person shot on Hunter’s Ridge Lane in Peachtree Corners. Police found a man shot in front of an apartment complex. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Police have not released that victim’s name or identified a suspect. Police said the two homicides do not appear to be related.
