Passenger killed, driver injured after someone in another car opens fire in busy intersection

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County Police confirmed they are investigating a deadly shooting in the area of Wesley Chapel Road.

The shooting happened Monday evening around 8:30 p.m. Investigators said that the suspect drove up to the victims’ car and started shooting.

The passenger inside the car did not survive their injuries. The driver was able to escape and was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

No other details, including a motive or description of the suspect’s car, have been released by DeKalb police at this time.

The two victims have not been identified.
