CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga — Nearly 20 girls attack mother and her twin daughters
A mother said she was trying to get her daughters out of harm’s way, found herself in the middle of a melee.
Charnetta Davis said for months, she has been trying to get school officials at North Clayton Middle School to deal with a group of girls that has been harassing her daughters.
She said it all came to a head May 20 when she and her family were followed home from school and a fight ensued.
Davis said she and her family are still healing from their injuries.
Davis attempted to call police but said, “Before I could even dial the numbers, they just attacked,”
Davis said about 20 girls attacker her and her 13-year-old twins Kyra and Tyra.
“They were punching us, kicking us and I was pleading for someone to stop and help us,” Davis said.
Davis now wears a knee brace and her foot is in a temporary boot, she said from being kicked and stomped on by a gang of middle school girls called “Y.L.O.M.(Young ladies out mobbing).”
“When I dived for them, I was trying to pull her up off the ground and I was pushed to the ground,” Davis said.
Davis said her daughter Tyra was hurt the worst.
“She was lying on the ground. They had her by the shirt and were twisting her shirt like they were trying to choke her while someone was smashing her face,” Davis said.
Davis said her twins only came to North Clayton Middle School in January and a month later, the harassment started. She said she tried to talk to school officials four months ago about it, but nothing was done. She feels the school district failed her.
“I’ve never in my life experienced anything like this before,” Davis said. “I feel like I’ve done everything that I could to help my daughters.”
Channel 2 is still waiting to receive a response from school officials.
