ATLANTA — Atlanta police confirmed they had taken a man into custody after a man was shot in a busy area of northwest Atlanta near two popular restaurants.
According to officers, the shooting happened just after 12:15 p.m. at 930 Howell Mill Road.
The address belongs to The Brady Apartments and several restaurants, including Superica and Eight Sushi Lounge.
Police in tactical gear and carrying long guns were in the area.

Police confirmed that a man was shot and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
The victim has not been identified.
It’s unclear the exact location where the victim was shot.
Police said they identified the suspected gunman but have not released his name. As a result, it’s unclear what charges he is facing.
