FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — First responders were on the scene of a crash had all lanes of a Fulton County interstate shut down.
On Wednesday night, all lanes of Interstate 85 southbound in Fairburn were shut down due to a crash.

Channel 2 Action News reached out to Fairburn Police for more details.
Police confirmed that one of their officers was hit in the accident.
At this time, details are limited.
WSB Triple Team Traffic issued a red alert late Wednesday night saying many units were on the scene just by exit 61.
🚨RED ALERT Fairburn: I-85/sb shut down w/bad crash n. of Hwy. 74 (Exit 61). Many rescue units have arrived last few mins. Delays. Take Hwy. 29 or Oakley Industrial.

WSB Triple Team Traffic said all lanes are now back open and the crash has cleared.
At this time, there is no word on the extent of injuries or how many people were involved in the crash.
