ATLANTA — Police are looking for a man who robbed a woman at gunpoint on the Atlanta Beltline.
Police say a woman called police just after 11 in the morning on Jan. 7 and reported a robbery.
She told them she was walking on the Beltline, just west of Hill Street near DH Stanton Park, and talking to her friend on Facetime when a man with a gun approached her.

The victim told police he grabbed her, tackled her to the ground and held his hand over her mouth when she started screaming.
He put the gun to her head and forced her to walk with him, but she was able to escape when she slipped out of her backpack and jumped down a hill to escape.

The woman says she started knocking on doors at homes until someone helped her and called 911.
Jennifer Williams had no idea who was ringing her doorbell and screaming for help.
“And so I’m confused. Like what’s going on,” Williams said. “She said she was walking on the Beltline and this guy attacked her.”
Williams said she called 911 and made the victim feel comfortable until officers arrived.
Police are looking for a black man who is about 6 feet tall with a heavy build wearing a red jacket with black cuffs on the sleeves. They released a picture of the suspect on Tuesday afternoon.
The victim had only minor injuries and the man did take her bag.
