Police Captain Charles Barstow said the girl had been riding her bike in the neighborhood with friends Tuesday evening.
“An unidentified white male in his late teens or early 20s wearing a ski mask drove up to her in a black sedan and asked where her friends were,” Barstow said.
The child, who isn’t being identified, got scared and rode home, where her parents called police.
“She quickly became alarmed by that and then rode home. There was no more interaction other than that,” Barstow told Channel 2 Action News.

This has people who live in the neighborhood concerned.
Mamta Khairejani is a mother who says living in a gated community has always made her feel safe.
“I mean, that’s like extra security, right? And still, if people are able to get in, that’s kind of bothering,” she said.
Another neighbor said although the news of a man in a ski mask approaching a child is disturbing, she still feels safe in the community.
Milton Police have increased patrols in the neighborhood. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police.
