Johns Creek police have released a description of the car involved in a hit-and-run that killed a 23-year-old as they continue to search for the driver.
Richard Bartlett III was strapping a mattress and box springs to his car on McGinnis Ferry Road just after 9:30 p.m. June 2 when he was hit. Bartlett died from his injuries.
Police said they are searching for a dark or black, four-door sedan based on information from witnesses.
The car will have damage to the front right bumper and hood and front windshield. Police said the car could also have minor damage to the passenger side.

Bartlett is the son of Gwinnett County Deputy Tamara Bartlett. His older brother Stephon Tuitt plays defensive end for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Tuitt posted about the loss of his brother on Instagram. The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office held a vigil for Bartlett over the weekend.
“You are in heaven living stress free. I miss you so so so much bro 😢We love you and see you again one day. Thank you for the prayers and calls,” Tuitt wrote.
Gregory B. Levett and Sons is handling the funeral arrangements. A celebration of life service for Bartlett will held on Saturday at 11 a.m. and streamed on the funeral home’s page.
