Publix announces special hours for hospital staff, first responders

ATLANTA — Publix says it will designate certain days of the week for first responders to shop at its stores across the country.

The grocery store chain said Thursday evenings, 8 – 9 p.m., and Friday mornings, 7 – 8 a.m., will be special shopping hours for first responders and hospital staff.

The company said the change will continue until further notice.

Publix Pharmacy will also be open during these times.

Publix also has changed the special shopping hours for seniors; Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, 7 – 8 a.m., as reserved shopping hours for customers age 65 and over.

Publix Pharmacy will also open at 7 a.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to serve our customers age 65 and older.
