ATLANTA — Another round of showers and thunderstorms moved through metro Atlanta Wednesday night. Now, wind will be an issue Thursday.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brad Nitz said a line of rain with some embedded thunderstorms moved into northwest Georgia around 8 p.m. and traveled southeast through metro Atlanta Wednesday.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch was issued for parts of northwest Georgia but expired at 1 a.m.
Following the storms, the wind will pick up in north Georgia and metro Atlanta on Thursday.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Karen Minton said gusts will be up to 35 mph.
Temperatures will also take a tumble, with highs only in the 50s Thursday and Friday.
The next chance of rain comes Sunday.
