ATLANTA — We know it, you know it – Driving in Atlanta is. The. Worst. And now there is a report that backs it up.
Insurance company Allstate compiled driving data from 200 cities across the country and Atlanta landed at the bottom of the list.
Atlanta was ranked at 184 out of the 200 safest driving cities.
According to Allstate, Atlanta had an average number of 19.6 "hard braking events" per 1,000 miles.
Atlanta ranked 179 in 2015, so our drivers got even worse in the last year.
The city of Augusta landed at 80, Columbus at 104 and Savannah at 136.
Boston landed at the very bottom of the list followed by Worcester, Mass.; Baltimore, Maryland and Washington DC.
So what is the safest city to drive? Brownsville, Texas took first place, followed by Kansas City and Madison, Wisconsin.
