PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — Deputies said a road rage driver pulled a gun on another driver, but accidentally shot himself.

The incident happened on Buchanan Highway in Paulding County on Thursday morning. The road was shut down for several hours while deputies investigated.

Deputies determined that a driver who got mad at another driver pulled out a gun, but it accidentally went off. The driver, who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital. Deputies have not released his condition or the nature of his injuries.

The other driver was not hurt.
Deputies said the driver who shot himself may face charges.
It’s unclear what led to the driver’s road rage.
