SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — Some drivers are facing a detour on a busy road because of falling rocks.

Channel 2's Justin Wilfon learned that Sandy Springs crews have removed all of the rocks that fell off a cliff and onto Lake Forrest Drive.

The road remains closed and officials say it will be closed indefinitely.

Sandy Springs Public Works officials were out all day assessing the situation. They had the road between Stewart and Maryeanna closed since Wednesday night when rocks started falling onto the road.

The mess is creating a headache for drivers.

Public works told Wilfon one possible solution would be to put netting on this cliff.

Officials are not sure when the road will re-open.
