EDGEFIELD, S.C. — A 27-year-old North Augusta man who survived one car crash was killed when he got out to inspect his vehicle, according to WRDW.
The crash happened Friday morning around 6:30 a.m. near Edgefield, S.C., which is about 20 miles from the Georgia border.

Alexander Jonathan Briggs had gotten into an accident in his Hyundai Elantra and was stopped in the road.

- Briggs was standing behind the crashed Hyundai when a Doge Ram slammed into the car. Briggs was hit by both vehicles and died at the scene.

The driver of the Dodge, identified only as a 54-year-old man from Greenwood, was not injured. It’s unclear if he’s facing any charges.
