UPSON COUNTY, Ga. — An Thomaston-Upson County school bus driver is dead and two students are in the hospital after being involved in a crash on Friday morning.
District officials say the school bus was involved in an accident with a utility truck on Logtown Road.
There were three students on the bus during the crash. Two of them were taken to Upson Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

The bus driver died from his injuries. His identity has not been released.
“Our hearts go out to our bus driver’s family and to his friends and co-workers at the Thomaston-Upson Transportation Department. We ask the community to join us in keeping the family of our bus driver as well as our students and their families in your thoughts and prayers and to respect their privacy during this difficult time,” district officials said in a statement.
There is no word on injuries of those in the utility truck.
