Several students injured in school bus crash in DeKalb County

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Channel 2 Action News has learned that several students were left injured in a bus crash in DeKalb County.

Capt. Dion Bentley, with DeKalb County Fire Rescue, said the crash involving School Bus #1729 happened at South Deshon Road and Windy Ridge Way. The bus picks up students who attend Lithonia High School.

There were a total of seven injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening, according to DeKalb County School District. Three students were taken to the hospital by first responders. The other four were taken by their parents.

Crews are investigating what led up to the crash.
