ATLANTA — A winter storm warning remains in effect for several counties in north Georgia until 7 a.m. or noon on Sunday.
A winter weather advisory that had been extended to include Gwinnett, Barrow, Banks, Jackson, Hall and Forsyth counties expired earlier Sunday morning.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Eboni Deon said people in those areas need to be very careful if you have to travel due to icy road conditions.
Some areas got up to 3 inches of snow, with 5.3 inches reported in Rabun County.

Here’s how the winter weather unfolded Saturday
9:18 p.m.
The Winter Weather Advisory now includes Gwinnett, Barrow, Banks, Jackson, Hall, and Forsyth counties until 12 PM Sunday.
8:32 p.m.
Roads are very slick north of Alpharetta as well as in Duluth in Gwinnett County, according to AJC WSB Traffic.
8:12 p.m.
The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office says they have had 20+ accidents since 6 p.m. tonight due to speeding on icy roads.
7:27 p.m.
Stay safe on the roads tonight! Road temperatures will stay above freezing in metro Atlanta but there are still some slick spots to our north.
If your travels can hold off, it's best to wait until conditions improve. It's mostly rain now around the metro with areas of sleet and snow as you head north and east of Atlanta.
