Sheriff’s office searching for person who slapped zebra on video at Georgia safari

TROUP COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities are searching for the person who was filmed on video slapping a zebra at an animal safari in Georgia.

The Troup County Sheriff’s office posted on Facebook pictures from a video showing the man hitting the animal in the face.

“So apparently a recent visitor to the Pine Mountain Wild Animal Safari thought it would be funny during the tour to smack a friendly Zebra in the face after he rolled the window down and the animal put their head in the car to say hello,” the sheriff’s office posted.

Authorities are asking for information on this person. If you know who he is, you’re asked to call Criminal Investigations at 706-883-1616 or Crime Stoppers at 706-812-1000.
