METRO ATLANTA — If you need to catch up on some sleep, Sunday morning may be the perfect time for you to do it.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Eboni Deon said anyone north of Interstate 20 in the metro Atlanta area is likely to wake up to a cold, steady rain, something that will probably not improve over the course of the morning.
Rain is moving through much of north Georgia this morning. It's going to be a messy ride on the roads. Give yourself some extra time heading out. I'm tracking it now on WSB. pic.twitter.com/rh47fC1B0b

Deon said that temperatures won’t get much warmer than where they are in the early morning hours of Sunday, with the highest temperatures expected to be somewhere around 50 degrees.
She said the rain will likely stick around through most of the morning and clear the area by late afternoon or early evening, though it will remain cloudy. No storms are expected through the morning and the rain is mostly light. WSB’s Triple Team Traffic said the roads will be wet for most of the day and drivers should be careful.
