ROSWELL — The lone survivor of a deadly MARTA bus stop crash is still recovering in the ICU of North Fulton Hospital.
Channel 2’s Mike Petchenik spoke to "El Fuego" Solano's boss Friday about his injuries. %

"I was with him last night until about 10 o'clock. He has a fractured pelvis and the doctor's not sure if there's anything else yet wrong. They're very concerned, I spoke to them this morning. He's unstable at this time and our prayers are just with him and his family and of course the other two who lost their lives, and with the lady that had the accident,” said Marc Wegman.
Wegman says Solano, who works as a dishwasher at Adeles on Canton, is a great person and worker.
“You can always count on him if you call him to work an extra shift, he will. Just absolutely a stunning individual," he said. “He always has a smile on his face.”
Solano underwent surgery Friday and is not stable and resting at North Fulton Hospital.
Roswell police said a driver plowed into the bus stop full of people on Alpharetta Highway on Thursday, killing two and seriously injuring Solano.
Curtis Freeman, 55, was pronounced dead at the scene, and LarSharon Clark, 41, died Friday at the hospital.
Wegman says he sat with Clark in the emergency room.
"She had a smile on her face. I put my hand on her and wished her the very best,” he said.
Friends say Freeman was on his way home from his job at a nursing home in Roswell, where he’d worked for nearly three decades. %

“I just couldn’t believe it,” Gail Bohannon said.
“It’s hard. He feels like part of the family,” said Michelle Wright.
Wright says Freeman inspired co-workers and residents.
“He always had a smile on, very pleasant for the residents. He's gonna be truly missed,” she said.
"He did his job well. The residents are grieving along with the staff. It's been a rough day today and we'll probably have some more days,” Bohannon said.
Bohannon says if she'd had her way, Freeman might not have been waiting there.
“(It told him) I would take him to the train station so he could get home a little bit earlier, and he said, ‘No, I don't want you caught in the traffic,’” Bohannon said.
Investigators say the woman driving the car was in her 60s. They say she is cooperating and charges are pending, but police say the investigation could take weeks, if not months, to complete. %

"She was traveling behind a MARTA bus. Apparently, she attempted to avoid a rear-end collision with the bus, swerved off the roadway, and hit three pedestrians that were waiting at the bus stop for the MARTA," said Officer Lisa Holland, with the Roswell Police Department.
Police say the crash is still under investigation and that charges are pending against the woman who caused the wreck.
