SOUTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Crews continue to work to clear the scene of a deadly crash on Interstate 285 in south Fulton County.
One person died in the crash near Camp Creek Parkway Tuesday afternoon.
"I was watching TV around two or three hours ago and they said somebody was in an accident on I-285, so I thought it was on the other side of town. So I was shocked when I saw it right here, you know?" Kenneth Gaiter told Channel 2's Wendy Halloran.

The crash happened around noon, according to the Georgia State Patrol, when a tractor-trailer headed north on I-285, hit three other tractor-trailers and the back of a passenger car.
The impact pushed the passenger car underneath another tractor-trailer. The driver of the car, identified as Kimberly Diane Caldwell, 62, of Bowdon, was killed.
“A lot of 18-wheelers come up here because they make deliveries to those stores over there,” Gaiter said.

The wreck left behind twisted, mangled metal after the cab of an 18-wheeler was crushed. Five people were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital with injuries, GSP said.
“I hope nothing seriously happened to them, but it’s sad,” Gaiter told Halloran.
The two right lanes and the exit to Camp Creek Parkway have been blocked for hours as investigators continue to remove the wreckage and figure out what led to the deadly crash.
“Hopefully they can clean up everything so that the traffic can start to come through here,” Gaiter said.
So far, authorities have not released the names of the other victims involved in the wreck.
