SOUTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — A brokenhearted family is searching for answers after a 32-year-old transgender woman was gunned down inside her own car.
Channel 2’s Nefertiti Jaquez spoke to family members of Tee Tee Dangerfield, who said they are now desperate to bring Tee Tee’s killer to justice.
"My best friend is gone. Not coming back," Yolander Dangerfield, visibly upset over the incident, told Jaquez. “The way I feel inside it's like, ‘Oh gosh.’ It's like someone is sticking a knife [putting hands to her chest]. Oh, the feeling. It's terrible."
Police said her daughter Tee Tee was found shot to death inside her car early Monday at a College Park apartment complex.
Medics rushed the 32-year-old to the hospital, but she died on the way there.

"It couldn't have been a human. It had to be an animal to do something like that to her," Tee Tee’s aunt, Alesa Dangerfield, told Jaquez.
Detectives said currently there are no suspects in the case, and they're unsure whether Tee Tee's transgender identity was a factor in her shooting.
"Everyone loves her, so for a person to do this to her is unbelievable," cousin Ramona Dangerfield said.
But her family admitted they wonder if her transgender identity did play a role, especially when 16 trans women of color have been murdered since the start of the year, according to GLAAD.
"All lives matter. No one has the right to take someone's life," Alesa Dangerfield said.
“She was just an all-around beautiful person. She was an amazing soul,” Ramona Dangerfield said.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help with costs for Tee Tee's funeral.
