SOUTH FULTON, Ga. — City of South Fulton traffic investigators are trying to piece together details of a bad crash late Friday night that left one woman dead.

Investigators tell Channel 2 Action News two cars crashed near the intersection of Jonesboro Road and Old National Highway around 11 p.m. They say a man driving one vehicle crashed into the woman’s car killing her on the scene.
Traffic was backed up for several hours while first responders were on the scene. The accident has been cleared and the road is now open.

Police have not released the identity of either person involved in the crash at this time and say charges are pending against the man who survived the incident.
