The Secretary of State’s Office said that it is expecting 2.4 million Georgians to have voted by the end of the day Friday, shattering voting records once again in the state.

Channel 2′s Audrey Washington went to an early voting polling location in South Fulton County, where she found a steady stream of people heading in to vote.

People told Washington that they wanted to make sure their votes were cast and counted early.

“It was smooth and easy,” voter Naomi Salaman said. “It was good to get it in and out and get it off of my chest.”

Salaman was one of hundreds of thousands of Georgians to vote early.

Friday, Washington spoke with the head of the Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections, Nadine Williams.
