EAST POINT, Ga. — Some of ‘Atlanta’s Finest’ are being immortalized in a new mural in East Point.
The artist, Aziza Andre, says the hardest part of painting the mural was selecting only ten community leaders.
Marvin Bussey, whose thirty years running Teens at Work earned him a spot in the mural, says he knows how important it is to help others and can recognize greatness when he sees it.

Bussey says the new mural, entitled ‘Atlanta’s Finest,’ features Atlanta’s “greatness,” ten people who have gone above and beyond to make the community a better place.
Andre spent all summer painting the mural and was finally able to unveil her work Wednesday afternoon.
Along the blue wall on Ware Avenue in East Point, passersby can see the portraits of Tyler Perry, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, Channel 2 Action News’ very own Jovita Moore and more.

“It started off with Jovita, too. We watch her on the news all the time, and I wanted to make sure she was the first person---and looking back onto John Lewis and thinking of who else we could include,” Andre told Channel 2′s Berndt Petersen.
Bussey was present at the unveiling and said he was stunned because he didn’t expect to see his face as part of the mural.
“It was almost tear jerking to look at John Lewis and Jovita Moore and Tyler Perry---and see myself up there. I’m like, how did that happen?,” he said.
