HAPEVILLE, Ga. — More than nine months after the original Dwarf House in Hapeville announced it would be shutting down for a massive remodel and expansion, it’s finally reopening.
Chick-fil-A fans have been anxiously awaiting the reopening since it was announced in May, and the restaurant announced earlier this week that the time has finally come.

The newly redesigned restaurant will feature a “historic patio” that used the original building’s blueprints from 1946 to recreate the counter and stools.
“It is perfectly positioned on the property, to show off the restaurant’s exact spot in 1946,” the restaurant said in a post on Facebook.
The original Hapeville Dwarf House is where Chick-fil-A began 75 years ago. It still serves items from Truett Cathy’s original menu, including hamburgers.
“It was in this restaurant that Cathy first invented the boneless chicken sandwich and asked his customers to taste test it for him until he perfected the recipe in 1964,” Chick-fil-A says on their website.
