ATLANTA — Police say they believe two different sets of burned human remains found in South Fulton County last week are connected to cases out of Atlanta.

South Fulton County Police say that on June 12 around 6 p.m., officers responded to a vehicle fire on Union road and discovered what appeared to be human remains.

On June 18 at around 4:30 a.m., police responded to reports of a body burning on the side of Jones Road near Campbellton-Fairburn Road.
The investigation revealed that both cases originated from incidents within the City of Atlanta.

South Fulton County Police are working with Atlanta Police on the investigation.
The victims’ identities have not been released pending notification of next of kin.
