UNION CITY, Ga. — Union City police have made two arrests in connection with the shooting death of a teenager on Monday.

Isaiah Christopher Turner, 19, was arrested the same day and taken to the Fulton County Jail. He waived his first court appearance Tuesday.

He is facing charges of murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, police said.

On Tuesday, police announced a second arrest. 18-year-old Tre Graham was taken into custody without incident. He's charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

The suspects are accused of shooting and killing Chevelle Tramon Thompson, 17, in the 5700 block of Rock Road in Union City.

Witnesses and family members said the teenager was walking to a nearby store when he was shot.

“While the motive for this tragic event appears to be an ongoing dispute, investigators are working to determine if other actors played a role in Thompson’s death,” police said.

The case remains an active and fluid investigation, according to police.
