South Fulton police catch slithering ‘burglar’ in family’s basement

SOUTH FULTON, Ga. — South Fulton police officers came to the rescue of one family and saved them from a dangerous “burglar” inside their house.

Officers responded to a burglary in progress, but when they searched the home off Cascade Palmetto Hwy., they couldn’t find any burglars.

Instead of a two-legged thief in search of something to steal, they found a snake slithering who had broken into the basement.

Officers were able to catch the serpent criminal and release into the wild on his own with a court date to return.

Luckily, no people or snakes, criminal or otherwise, were injured during the investigation.
