SOUTH FULTON, Ga. — We’ve seen it all over metro Atlanta over the past few years -- off-road vehicles driving illegally on the roads.
Just a few weeks ago, several ATV racers led police on a chase through the streets of Atlanta. Several drivers were arrested.
Then in the city of South Fulton, off-road vehicles were caught on camera flying down Butner Road.
Police then swarmed in and arrested those drivers.
South Fulton resident Carlos Bright told Channel 2′s Justin Wilfon that he hears the loud vehicles zooming by his house all the time.
“I’ve heard a lot of sounds that have caused me to come outside and check it out. Usually what I see are young kids, teenagers,” Bright said.

City of South Fulton police tell us they’ve seen enough, as well.
So, they’re starting a tip line that neighbors can call to report illegal off-road vehicles -- vehicles like Side-by-Sides along with ATV’s and dirt bikes.
The number is 470-552-TIPS (8477).
South Fulton police specifically want tips about where the vehicles are being stored, and callers can remain anonymous.
Bright told Wilfon next time he just might call.
“I think it’s a good idea for safety reasons, because the kids could get injured – the rider and the civilians,” Bright said.
