The teen was traveling down Flat Shoals Road and the landscaping truck was driving in the other direction.

Investigators said the teen was somehow distracted and smashed into the yellow truck head-on.

A witness said it didn’t sound bad at first. But when he came outside, he said the cars looked almost unrecognizable.

“I have seen many accidents but not like this,” said Curtis Collins, who has lived in his home for a decade.

Collins said he didn’t know the people involved but he got emotional looking at the wreck.

“It’s a shame. Now she has to deal with her actions, her unhealthy actions that has led to the loss of life,” Collins said. "She had to be going pretty fast."

Police have not released the name of the truck driver or the teenager involved. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by city of South Fulton police and the Georgia State Patrol.
