ATLANTA — Strong to severe storms pupped up across the metro and north Georgia on Wednesday evening.
The main threats were damaging downburst wind, heavy rain and lightning.
Temperatures reached near 90 degrees Wednesday.
For the rest of the week and the weekend, temperatures will be mild in the mornings, around mid-70s, and showers and storms are possible at any time in the afternoon and evening. Rain chances drop later in the week.
Temperatures will continue into the 90s with afternoon storms through early next week.
