Tara Grinstead case to be featured on Dr. Oz today

It was a mystery that captivated Georgia -- now it's poised to do the same for the rest of the country.

The Dr. Oz Show will feature the case of Tara Grinstead, the south Georgia teacher who mysteriously disappeared in 2005.

Grinstead disappeared from her Ocilla, Georgia, home in October 2005. She was last seen at a co-worker’s barbecue before she left to go home.

On the show Tuesday, Dr. Oz will speak one-on-one with the creator of a podcast that reignited interest in the case: "Up and Vanished."

Payne Lindsey described to Dr. Oz how he put together the pieces of the case and helped bring attention to the 12-year-old case. Many credit his podcast with helping to crack the case wide open.

Two people were charged earlier this year in her disappearance and murder.
