ATLANTA — Hundreds of new jobs are heading to midtown Atlanta thanks to a technology giant.
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp announced Wednesday that Cisco is opening a major new hub at Tech Square. Cisco plans on a major increase to its Atlanta office over the next five years.
“This expansion going from 1,000 hard working Georgians already in the state with Cisco to 1,700 is incredible,” Kemp said. “It’s going to be an incredible opportunity for our students or our Georgians in the work force or those coming here for the workforce.”
Cisco will invest up to $41 million in opening its talent and collaboration center in the Coda building in Tech Square.
“I am thrilled to welcome Cisco to the hottest tech neighborhood in America,” Georgia Tech president Angel Cabrera said.
