Deputies said the 911 center received a call around 4:24 p.m. from a woman, identified as Everett, who said there was a customer upset over his order.
Everett said the man was holding five people hostage at gunpoint, including children, according to the operator. Everett allegedly said she was hiding in the bathroom but hung up the line.

When the sheriff’s office arrived, deputies found everything was normal and there was not a gunman inside the restaurant. They determined that Everett made the false 911 all inside the McDonald’s lobby.
Everett is charged with false report of a crime and unlawful conduct during a 911 call.
